Mary Kuehn

Chief Flight Instructor and Program Manager

Mary Kuehn is the Chief CFI and Program Manager for AOPA’s Air Safety Institute eFIRC, where she uses her background as a passionate flight instructor with a focus on improving general aviation safety. She leads content development, oversees FAA compliance, and coordinates marketing efforts to grow and enhance the program. Mary also co-hosts ASI’s “What’s Up!? Know. Fly. Learn.” webinar series, a series of casual, upbeat presentations on flying topics that help keep you proficient.

Before joining ASI, Mary was a First Officer on the Embraer 175 for a 121 carrier. Prior to that, she worked as a flight instructor in Wilmington, NC (ILM) and Manassas, VA (HEF). Her aviation career began as a Flight Attendant for United Airlines, a role that allowed her to travel the world for five years before transitioning to the flight deck.
