Hearing Help and Safety for Pilots

Hearing acuity diminishes over time, and it diminishes with prolonged exposure to noise. Hearing losses can lead to fatigue as well, which frustrates all of us. For pilots this can potentially lead to unsafe flying conditions. Having clear communications is essential to safe piloting.

Also, have you ever experienced an emergency where carbon monoxide was present in your cockpit? This is a major safety concern for pilots of piston aircraft as well and can result in deadly consequences.

Join Ron Timmermans, Pilot and CFI, and Dr. Greg Ricca, Physician, Pilot, and CFI, as they discuss these important topics of hearing loss as we age and the use of carbon monoxide detection in your airplane. They will highlight tools pilots can use to improve their hearing, lengthen their career in the cockpit and gain confidence in hearing critical communications as well as protection from carbon monoxide.
