Using Artificial Intelligence Tools in Flight Training

There is a great deal of excitement about the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in many fields, and the pace of change is accelerating. We are at the top of the hype cycle, however, and it’s hard to comprehend or predict what happens next.

Flight Instructors are still teaching students using traditional digital tools and technologies. We can do better by using generative AI tools in much of what we do. We focus on rote learning when we could be teaching at a higher level and making the many manuals we use more accessible.

This presentation will outline the best AI tools and approaches for flight instructors to use. We’ll avoid the hype and focus on practical ways to advance the learning process using approachable and affordable AI tools.
